How Gifting Signifies the Status of the Women In Modern India

In earlier days, the status of the women in India was too inferior as that of men. Now, it’s found satisfactory in some part and inadequate in rest of the division of our country. This result is due to lack of education.

With the wise understanding of their status, Jawaharlal Nehru once said, “If you educate a man you educate an individual, however, if you educate a woman you educate a whole family. Women empowered means mother India empowered”.

The majority of urban areas of India women are treated well with well education and freedom, but in rural areas, especially with the orthodoxy they are cut off from the mainstream of social life. The rural society did not respect them and give them the desired status. They have to suffer and work inside the houses. Thus, they are completely dependent on men.

Currently, in India, women extensively participate in several areas like education, politics, science and technology and lot more. The violence against them is reducing and they are realizing their rights in the society. In other words, it is no longer a man’s world.

If we consider today’s trend, in metropolitan  cities the status and importance of  the women has raised in such  a way that, a man appreciate his lady by presenting a gift on special events like Valentines’ day, International women’s day and various other days that signifies them.

Today, men and women are the two wheels of a chariot, as they are equal in importance and work together in life. None is superior or inferior to other.

In support of this, the level of gifting has rose to the height such that several online gifting portals have built a strong foundation in numerous capital cities. Thus, gives a competitive edge in assisting them appreciating each other’s status in their lives and society.
